9月4日至6日，第五屆東方經(jīng)濟論壇(Eastern Economic Forum)在俄羅斯符拉迪沃斯托克(Vladivostok)舉行。

出席該經(jīng)濟論壇的印度總理莫迪(Narendra Modi)，將與俄羅斯總統(tǒng)普京(Vladimir Putin)就促進兩國間的投資與貿(mào)易進行談話。

出發(fā)前一天，莫迪接受了媒體采訪。談到他和普京的關(guān)系時，莫迪金句頻出，高調(diào)秀恩愛，還用了“來電”(special chemistry)一詞形容他倆的關(guān)系。

The two men have known each other since 2001， and Modi pointed out in an interview with Russian state media ahead of the summit that he and Putin enjoy a special relationship。

(莫迪和普京)兩人自2001年開始相識，莫迪在峰會前接受俄羅斯官媒采訪時指出，他和普京有著特殊的關(guān)系。

“Our relationship has special chemistry， special ease，” Modi told the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper。 “With each meeting with President Putin， we get closer and our relationship grows。”

“我們的關(guān)系是‘很來電’的那種，特別輕松，”莫迪對《俄羅斯報》說道。“每次與普京總統(tǒng)會面，我們都變得更加親密，關(guān)系更緊密。”

Modi pointed out that mutual ties also extend to nature， as every year “Siberian cranes migrate to my home state Gujarat”。 And the Indian leader said he planned to discuss tiger conservation with Putin， a lover of big cats。

莫迪指出，他倆的相互關(guān)系還延伸到了大自然，因為每年“西伯利亞鶴都會遷徙到他的家鄉(xiāng)古吉拉特邦”。這位印度領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人說，他計劃與普京討論老虎保護的問題。普京很喜歡大型貓科動物。

此外，莫迪還向媒體吹噓，他跟普京有不少共同點，對老虎保護充滿熱情只是一方面。

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that a passion for protecting tigers is among many things he and Russian President Vladimir Putin have in common。

印度總理莫迪說，他和俄羅斯總統(tǒng)普京有許多共同之處，其中之一就是對于老虎保護事業(yè)的熱情。

Modi said that he and Putin are kindred spirits of sorts， given their love of the outdoors and nature。 “I know that he is a physically very developed person， he leads an active lifestyle， keeps himself in shape。 I love it，” he told reporters on Tuesday， right before heading off for a trip to Russia。

莫迪說，他和普京志趣相投，因為他們都熱愛戶外和大自然。“我知道他是一個體格強健的人，他擁有積極的生活方式，保持自己的體型。我很喜歡，”他周二在啟程前往俄羅斯之前對記者說。

“He is also interested in the environment， wildlife， the underwater world， especially interested in the problem of conservation of tigers and so on。 I’m the same by nature。 Therefore， it is natural that many things connect us。”

“他對環(huán)境、野生動物、水下世界也很感興趣，尤其對保護老虎等問題感興趣。我的本性也是如此。因此，自然地，很多事情把我們聯(lián)系在了一起。”

The bond reflects traditionally friendly relations between Russia and India， Modi said， adding that “we do not have a common border， but our souls are similar。”

莫迪說，這種關(guān)系反映了俄羅斯和印度傳統(tǒng)上的友好關(guān)系，并補充說，“我們沒有共同的邊界，但我們的靈魂是相似的。”

由于同西方關(guān)系緊張，俄羅斯自2015年以來，每年都會在太平洋沿岸港口城市符拉迪沃斯托克舉辦東方經(jīng)濟論壇，來加強與亞洲的關(guān)系。

周三開幕式當天，普京與莫迪會面的時間最長。

Russia and India are part of the BRICS group of major emerging economies -- alongside Brazil， China and South Africa -- and Kremlin foreign policy aide Yury Ushakov said “increasing mutual investments” and “energy cooperation” would be high on the agenda。

同巴西、中國和南非一樣，俄羅斯和印度也是新興經(jīng)濟體組織“金磚國家”的成員。克里姆林宮外交政策助理尤里·烏沙科夫表示，“增加相互投資”和“能源合作”將是東方經(jīng)濟論壇的重要議程。

Trade between the two countries amounted to approximately $11 billion in 2018。

2018年，俄羅斯和印度兩國間的貿(mào)易額約為110億美元。

Moscow and Delhi are also looking at “opportunities to explore hydrocarbons on the continental shelf in the Arctic and the Russian Far East” together， Ushakov said。

烏沙科夫說，莫斯科和德里還在共同尋找“在北極大陸架和俄羅斯遠東地區(qū)勘探碳氫化合物的機會”。
